Hornworms (Manduca Sexta)
25+ Hornworms:
Caterpillar/Larvae of the Hawk Moth. These blue or green beauties are very nutritious & hydrating for any reptiles! Making them in the top list of superior superfood feeders.
Note: Keep in mind before purchasing these! They grow quite fast in a couple of days. If you prefer a slower growth then silkworms will be the best alternative.
Care:
All hornworms are packed in a pod just like silkworms.
Have the pod placed upside down(lid facing down)to help ensure their kernels(droppings) are not interfering with their food.
Place a paper towel to empty their kernels before throwing it away incase some worms fall out. Pur the fallen soldiers back and you are set!
Repeat these steps everyday so no mold will ever create inside of it. But sometimes the bad happens and when that does happen just get a nice small tupperware. Place paper towel as the substrate. Put the worms inside with their food on one side.
The food inside( some cases food is put in a separate container depending on weather) will last enough for their entire cycle.
